Droppings - Roof Rat droppings are 1/4 to 1/2 inch in length, capsule shaped, with blunt ends. The underside of the roof rat’s body is grayish to white. In food-storage facilities, the most prominent sign may be smudge marks, the result of oil and dirt rubbing off of their fur as they travel along their aerial routes.
